Raven, American Crow: Raven was brought the ARLWC in July of 2004. She had been walking through a neighborhood in Mt. Lebanon, unable to fly. Upon examination, it was discovered that she had suffered a devastating wing injury that had healed improperly. She cannot be released because she is unable to fly.
Facts on American Crows: American Crows can be found in woodlands, farmlands and neighborhoods. These are intelligent birds that will make a meal out of almost anything. Crows are often heard before they are seen. Their customary loud “caw” often announces their presence.
