Quackers, Call Ducks:  Quackers was given to the Wildlife Center on July 1, 2002 by the National Aviary for educational use.  Despite her small size, she is an adult female.

Facts on Call Ducks:  Call Ducks live in captivity for 10-15 years.  They are fed duck food, cracked corn, and greens.  Call Ducks can be purchased as pets from a breeder.  These ducks are the same species as wild mallards.  They have been domesticated and bred to be used to “call” the mallards into the open for hunting.
